What are "qualified members"?
Members who can exhibit all of the paperwork, ID's, doctor's notes, county licenses, and registrations needed to conduct business in California under prop 215 and SB420.
I am worried about my information being sold or seen, should I?
No. PlainView CCM is a closed system. It is not available to the public. We eliminate all and any personal patient information, including last name, address, phone numbers, doctors information etc. We give only the information needed to secure a transaction or to prove compliance. We do not share any information with any outside entity. We do not divulge the contents any PlainView CCM marketplace or any of the members thereof.
Do I have to put product in the marketplace of a collective?
No. You can be a patient who purchases goods and services only. However if you decide to create a collective the best way to advertise is to have product available for patients to find.
A code of conduct?
We are a professional group of patients and cannabis based businesses who've decided that we can benefit by doing business together online. The Code of Conduct establishes rules that all our members must abide by to join an online collective and use PlainView CCM. If any member does not abide by those rules, system privileges will be revoked.
What happens if I get a 2 star rating and it does not improve?
We may revoke your membership. We encourage collective managers to weed out people with poor ratings. Depending on the comments/issues raised by the PlainView community, it may be temporary or permanent. The best advise is to conduct yourself with the highest level of professionalism, be kind and courteous, stress patient service and ask for positive comments at the conclusion of your transaction. We want to help you build your reputation in the positive!
Online Collective? How does it work?
This is a group of dispensaries/growers/vendors who have decided to create their own online collectives. You can either ask to become a member of an existing collective or create your own instead, and invite others to join in. It operates the same way that you would normally buy/sell in the marketplace, except there is a designated manager (usually the person who starts the collective) who controls the transaction, makes the final deals, sets limits, etc.
Who pays what?
Most members of PlainView are charged a membership subscription fee. This can be done on in monthly increments to 1 year subscriptions.
How much does it cost to join?
Memberships start from FREE for Medi-Cal Patients up to to $210/year, depending on your status (patient vs dispensary or collective).
Can I have a private marketplace open only to my patients?
Yes.
If I have a collective prior to joining PlainView can my patients join free?
Yes. They will be created as a purchase only account.
If I create an online collective do I still need to have patient paperwork?
Yes, it is a good idea to have that available. PlainView does not forward or give you any paperwork regarding any of our members, so you'll have to do that yourself. It is advised that one do so before engaging in any transaction.
How can PlainView CCM help with my brick-and-mortar dispensary?
First understand that dispensaries are the tip of the spear for medical marijuana. You are operating at a high level of visibility and as such, are expected to act in accord with common business practices. This means keeping records of ALL your transactions, paying taxes, maintaining your licenses for business, and operating in full transparency. Use PlainView CCM to help you attain that transparency by keeping track of the front-end transactions with your patient-growers, patient-vendors. PlainView CCM allows you to create an online marketplace for your brick and mortar. Invite your vendors to it (they do NOT need to be members of PlainView CCM, you control who can use your marketplace!), buy products from your vendor, and generate compliant receipts for all purchases/trades made between your brick-and-mortar and your patients. If any authority asks you to prove all medicine was grown by patients and all was distributed to patients, you now have a total line-of-sight into your business, keeping you compliant and transparent. This can mean the difference between staying open to serve patients, and being closed and in court.

If I use PlainView do I need to still have state records and paperwork?
Yes. If you are selling marijuana to patients, you must file with both the county and the state for tax purposes. You will need to open up a DBA in the minimum up to an actual non-profit entity to legally engage in marijuana commerce in California. PlainView recommends, if you are serving patients, to have a Business licensee and a Seller's permit. Patients who are not operating collectives or selling marijuana do not need to meet this criteria.
Does PlainView file my taxes for me?
No, however PlainView can generate tax forms, but it cannot file your state or federal taxes.
