It's no secret that our nation is dealing with the return of a lot of emotionally wounded warriors.  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has been long since identified as an ailment for which cannabis is  an effective treatment. The feds say marijuana is illegal, but they have a problem now, don't they? 

In an effort to better serve those wounded warriors suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury, Cannabis Science Inc., a U.S. biotech company in the business of developing medical marijuana products, has formed a military advisory board. ... (click on title for the rest of the story) 

The marijuana industry won some and lost some in last month's election, but it hasn't lost momentum. Now it has a national trade association. The National Cannabis Industry Association went live on November 24th. 

"We're really going to focus right now on building our base and establishing ourselves on Capital Hill," said NCIA Executive Director Aaron Smith.  From there, NCIA's proposed mission statement will also include expanding the market in more states. "We will be working with local organizations and eventually chapters to adopt new medical marijuana laws --and beyond medical marijuana for that matter-- into state licensing for adult-use sales of cannabis," he added.

After considering all the facts around Proposition 19, the Regulate, Control and Talk Cannabis Act of 2010, PlainView Systems, LLC officially endorses Proposition 19 and strongly urges California voters to do the same. 

This proposition, if passed into law, would enhance the rights of all marijuana users and create a public policy that would greatly benefit Californians through proper regulations and taxation of cannabis products and services sold to the public. In addition, it would legalize possession of a small amount of marijuana for private use. These are NOT bad things!  ...

In August, the Colorado Department of Revenue released draft rules for the State's medical marijuana regulations which may include surveillance cameras and an online tracking system to avoid fraud and black market sales. The tracking system would link to an online government database and could even include fingerprinting and tracking devices in containers. In all its 92-page glory, the draft does not describe the tracking system precisely. And it is not subject to a vote, because this falls under the purview of the Department of Revenue as regulators of medical marijuana. There will be a public hearing in January. Until then, there are many unanswered questions and a lot of fear among both patients and dispensaries.
