We all need a way to keep our medicine fresh, mold free and potent. Medical Marijuana Jars has employed some to the latest technologies in the creation of a new product to do just that! These glass jars will bring back memories for those old enough to even say the word “apothecary”. It's an old school feel, in a modern package.  First, the glass is very dense, and it is one of the deepest blues I've ever seen.   Yes, this is real apothecary glass with the measurement/volume stamped on the bottom.

The jars are heavy, and the lids are airtight. When I first read about the product I was hoping for a glass top that uses simple friction to achieve a seal. Instead the company chose to use high quality black plastic, which fits the jar easily, and closes easily to tightness to create an airtight seal.

The one thing I would like to have seen is a glass top or some type of way to vacuum seal the jar, but it is really unnecessary! I tested these out and left some medicine in the containers for 2 weeks. It was not stale at all, and was as fresh, as pliable - not brittle - as the day I received it. My medicine smelled very fresh, and there was no degradation in performance.  For kicks I left a small nugget in my windowsill in a container from MMJars where I get a good blast of the Sonoma sun rising in the morning.   After 2 weeks of heat and sun for one small sample, I did not notice any degradation. For my other small sample, same strain (purps), that I had in a vacuum sealed clear plexiglas cylinder, a noticeable difference. The smoke was a bit harsher and it was far more crumbly and the color had started to fade from the bud. Medical Marijuana Jars were the clear winner.
